The U.S. Army has developed an algorithm that determines exactly how much caffeine it takes to keep pilots, soldiers and staff safely alert, despite lack of sleep. Army personnel was given response time tests, known as a psycho motor vigilance task (PVT), and the results were submitted for peer review. The results — an algorithm that actually determined how much caffeine puts your body into peak performance.
